Show notes - Episode 234: Share Your Answers for America

Morning Hey, friends!

We were almost back to normal this week, but then I invited some pals on the show. So my non-sports pals will have to skip ahead a bit to hear the 10 questions segment, but I know you can do it! Also I just realized with all of the production on this episode, it may no longer be morning when you see this. My bad! Now let's have some fun!

Pat rambles on steakhouses (3:20), shares the choices for the new US national anthem (8:33), plays a tune from the new VISTA EP (21:21), recaps some rasslin (26:33), and gets a visit from The Captain (31:33). Then: Maurice Rush makes his debut (37:02), Jill returns (51:23), and I dive in (1:00:04) to answer James Lipton’s famous ten questions.

Birthday steakhouse

It's weird that we went to a steakhouse for Jill's birthday and not mine, but that food was super delicious. Anytime you have the option to do all-you-can-eat, do that and skip the food on the side. Your stomach will thank me.

National anthem

I realize that my reads for these don't match my excitement. I blame allergies - they kicked my ass sinuses this week. In any case, thanks to everyone who weighed in and I hope this poll gadget works! (UPDATE: I made the poll its own post so it doesn't get buried in here.)

🎸

VISTA

Thanks as always to good friends of the show, VISTA - go get their new EP and then get a ticket to see them on tour!

AEW/WWE

AEW Revolution was a good show, and I of course loved the chance to gloat a bit about being right in the face of adversity. And I know I may not have sounded excited, but elimination chamber matches are always fun, so I am looking forward to the WWE show tomorrow - for real!

The Captain

I was really hoping he would arrive to get us pumped for how well the fly guys are playing, and he once again did not disappoint. They are rolling and it's mainly because they're all afraid of how Gritty will react to a loss. Doin great!

James Lipton

I loved that James Lipton asked everyone these questions, because they give an interesting look at an individual and you are almost guaranteed a different answer from each person. So I encourage you to try these with your buddies, and feel free to share your answers with me below. Thanks to Maurice and Jill for doing the thing!

🏁

And that's that! See? I told you it wouldn't be morning by the time I'm done. Thanks for coming to the table. Next week's episode should be less messy, but I'm afraid I can't make that promise to you. I will say that I will be back next Saturday to ramble on something or other, so until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
