Show notes - Episode 259: Digging for Swimsuits and Sushi Trophies

Morning, friends!

Today I rambled on finding treasure, found some fan mail, and made fun of dumb sports announcers before chatting with The Wild & Free. Let's get to it!

Click here to download the episode!

After a quick repair update, Pat rambles on cleaning finds (6:24), reads some fan mail (14:32), makes fun of dumb sports announcers (22:12), and gets a Flyers Update from The Captain (29:07). Then he welcomes The Wild & Free to the show for a chat (32:45) before playing their song, Out of Time (51:40)!

Repairs

The important stuff got fixed, but again I was shafted. So I am still facing the wrong way in here, but fingers crossed my dude comes back soon!

Cleaning up

I wish I could talk about the box, but I feel like an answer I did read made up for that. Thanks to everyone who weighed in on finding things!

Fan mail

I am so glad that my old landlord has not contacted me again, and that I don't have to work at the store during all of this nonsense. What a nightmare either of those things would be. I can tell you for sure that my Card Tune Network tale is getting its own episode at some point, so stay tuned!

Dumb announcers

Rule number one: always assume the mic in front of you is on and live. That was one of my first lessons in radio 12 years ago. It's baffling to hear so many veterans make mistakes like this. (Also you can try not being racist/sexist/anti-gay - that will help a ton!)

Flyers

The Captain has been coming through with these bubble updates, much like the Fly Guys have been rolling along. Puck drop is at 7PM ET tonight, so let's watch em do the thing!

The Wild & Free

Many thanks to our new friends, The Wild & Free, for joining the show! Check out the music video for Out of Time below!

🎸

And that's that, pals! Thanks for coming to the table as always. I don't know what's on tap for next week, so we'll all be surprised! Until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
