Show notes - Episode 376: Shut It Down on the Stairs

Morning, friends!

Patrons got quite the bonus today, and everyone got some Pat updates and a couple of questions answered. We also played new music from QU!ET and did some other stuff so let's go!

Pat plays new music from QU!IET (2:51), then rambles on studio setups (8:36), and kiddo updates (11:46). Plus getting a new phone (16:49), town shutdowns (22:15), and some fan mail to wrap the show (30:25).

Thanks to our friends for the tune - and congratulations on the EP! Find more from them here and download Freak Show here (iTunes)! Woooo! (Still don't recall which movie Michael wants me to have him back on to talk about once I watch it.)

New setup

I don't know why it was such a pain to get these cables set up this way, but I'm glad I finally have it cleaned up here. Should I have gotten the other dynamic mic booster because the one I have is hard to take out, making it difficult to move the mic stand? Probably, but I don't want to spend another $35. (Make a contribution or suggest a special episode via Linktree to help with that!)

Kiddo updates

We're climbing and roaming all around over here! It's fun but also exhausting and terrifying. Also for those who have asked, he's off formula now and eating real food so we missed out on being impacted by this cruel shortage. Let me know if I can help if you're in a bind, though!

New phone

I finally got a new fancy gadget. It is, of course, obscure. But it does everything I need a phone to do. Also petition your phone store to have a sign-in queue to avoid some chaos!

Town shutdown

This story made me laugh. "We can't give you vacation time because there's no one else to work." "kbye." I love it. It's not up to the employee to find someone to do the job.

Fan mail

I don't know who asked the questions, but thank you. They were very different questions from each other, but I appreciate them all the same. I think we'll be recording a mailbag episode soon so tell me what else you'd like to know!

And that's that, pals - we made it! Next week we'll have a question about team snacks. After that it'll get interesting with scheduling and whatnot so come on back to find out what's what and/or offer some suggestions. Until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Also here's a treat: the Patreon screenshot of the week!

Crap open a cold one!
