Show notes - Episode 428: Authorized to Join My Game

Morning, friends!

Today we got to play a song from an EP that's not out yet, drop a hot take on a serious topic, share a fun Pokémon idea, and more. Let's do this!

To download the episode, click here!

Pat plays an exclusive song from Paper Geese (8:22) before rambling on birthday parties (13:53), video games on mobile (19:32), unauthorized AI (28:34), serious fan mail (39:18), and Baseball 9 (43:49).

Paper Geese

Many thanks to our new friends for giving us an exclusive! Pre-save their upcoming EP, We Now Give You A Choice, here. And find more from them here! Woooo!

Birthday parties

Kid turned two and we had a thing at the house. It got crowded but I think everyone had fun. Come back in a few weeks for my birthday?

Mobile games

I understand why game companies wouldn't want to port every title to mobile. But how great would it be to play an official version of Pokémon or Fall Guys on your phone? Plus the idea for using online connectivity to upgrade your original mon lineups is great and it should be real. Something like this, which I wrote about in my Red/Blue review, would be awesome.

AI ads

I realize that this segment went off the rails, but the point is this: using AI-generated pictures and videos to say "this person endorses our thing!" is gross and you shouldn't do it. Either pay them to do it or find another way to advertise.

Fan mail: Give a hot take on a serious topic

Thank you if you're the person who submitted this question. I don't often delve into serious stuff on the show, because I prefer to get mad about issues that aren't too deep. But I'm glad I had the chance to say this. There is no reason that your level of medical care should depend on how much money you have. If you are unwell, you should be able to see a doctor. Full stop.

Baseball 9

Finally this week: Let me know if you want to be a part of my virtual baseball team. I have DH and several pitching spots available. If you join the Patreon, I can get you on the roster faster!

And that is that, my friends! Next week we're emptying the mailbag so come on back to hear your questions answered. Until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
