Show notes - Episode 113: Grab Your Keys and Let's Get Some Real Pants!

Good day, citizens! This week we gave some thanks, shouted out some comics, played a tune, and did lots of other stuff! Let's do it up!

Click here to download the episode!

In an update on my adult stuff (heh) from last week, I successfully defrosted my freezer! Now I can save food and whatnot - woooo! Also I did finally take out my air conditioner; look at me being responsible!

I was able to record on Friday once again this week, and that is thanks to all of our wonderful Veterans (I should use a capital V there, right?). Without you, I wouldn't have been home - getting paid - to do the show in the middle of the day. Plus if you didn't do the thing, I would have been picked. No one wins if that happens, so thank you all!

As you know by now, I love stand up comedy. Anytime I have the cash money, I go watch people say funny things. My first of two visits to Punchline Philly this month was awesome. It was great to see Jay Black again, and it was great that he kinda sorta remembered who I was. Also, if you can, I recommend seeing both Troy Moore and Kevin Hurley. They are hilarious and good dudes to boot, so go out and support them!

It surprised me that I took 113 episodes to yell about ripped jeans, but here we are. If you buy pants that come with extra holes, I don't think we can be buddies. I don't think I'll ever understand the thought process behind buying clothes like this, but you are more than welcome to try to break it down (DX) for me. I promise I will not make fun of you directly.

Okay, I'm also really surprised that I hadn't told this retail story before this week. A middle-age laaadyyyy constantly bugging me about her mistake? It should have been on the third episode. But the lesson remains: if you lose a thing (or several), don't keep going back to ask the same employee if it's been found. And definitely don't do it outside of the store. Use your heads, people!

NFL Game of the Week 10: New Orleans Saints at Buffalo Bills

  • NO: Ingram and Kamara - running all over everybody!
  • BUF: Taylor, McCoy, Benjamin - so many ways to win!
  • WINNER: NO - the streak continues!

Not much for entertainment stuff, which is kind of a bummer given the gross stories coming out lately. But I did what I could, so here's what you can watch and play now!

Now in theaters:

Murder on the Orient Express

Daddy's Home 2

New games available now:

Sonic Forces (PC. PS4, Xbox One, Switch)

Need for Speed: Payback (PC, PS4, Xbox One)

Mario Party: The Top 100 (3DS)

Doom (Switch)

Console: Xbox One X

Our tune this week comes from our pals, Point North. If you don't have their EP by now, go get the thing because it's great!

There was no good way into or out of this topic, friends, and I hate that I had to do it. Roy Halladay was one of my favorite players to watch/use in video games. He was a goddamn machine and, from all accounts, an awesome dude off the field. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and fans all over the place. Here's to you, Doc - you're a Hall of Fame guy in my book!

Because there was no easy way out of that, I figured I'd let The Captain do it for me (kinda). Thanks, good sir, for your service to this nation and this podcast!

That's all for now, friends! Keep an eye out for new blogs in the coming weeks - that's right, I'm doing stuff!

Until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
