Show notes - Episode 322: Hey, It's Radio

Morning, friends!

Today I'm taking you down memory lane to revisit where all of this spouting nonsense began: WDSR. Enjoy!

Pat rambles on his time from where it all began: WDSR.

📻

UPDATE: Our son, Arthur, was born on Wednesday morning. I don't know when I'll be able to talk about it on the show (the next seven are scheduled), but I wanted to mention it here. We are picking him up today so the adventure is about to begin!

I loved doing college radio. Was it all sunshine and rainbows? Of course not - nothing ever is. But there was more good than bad for sure. I did almost get kicked off The Sports Line, after all. I probably should have been, anyway.

Some Wrestling Show was actually one of the "highest rated" shows on at the time, and we got to talk to the president of a rasslin company. Something Provocative was such and incredible show because Tim and I always brought it - even if we were hilariously unprepared. The Lunchbox, essentially a precursor to The Melting Pat on Party 934 (more on that next week), was my first crap at a solo show. It was awkward but I needed to power through to get where I am now. No regerts!

I can't remember if this tale made the episode because I recorded in October, but I think about the electrician who thought he was part of the team often. Let me know if that's not there and I'll make a note to talk about that when I "return" to real shows.

I'm sure I mentioned more things, but again I recorded months ago so I can't remember. If anyone who remembers more from that time listens, please let me know so I can tell more stories. Thanks!

And thanks as always for listening! Next week [I think] is a deep dive into my time at Party 934, so come back for more of that fun. Until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
