Show notes - Episode 403: Awkward Moment Hall of Fame

Morning, friends!

It has been a week here in the studio, and this episode sure sounds like it. At least you get a new tune to take a break from me, right? Let's do the stuff!

Pat plays new music from Bleached (3:54), tries to read words out loud (8:09), wonders about inviting exes to gatherings (17:11), and rambles on the Baseball Hall of Fame ballot (28:21), before getting a Flyers Update from The Captain (38:27).

Thanks to our friends for the tune! Get Flip It here (Bandcamp) and find more from them here!

Thank you to everyone who shared their hard words with me. I knew if I did this, I would find more words I can't say. I'm happy to make this a recurring segment so let me know if you come across a tough one! (Also the show picture was almost "he'll adapt to reading?" from Always Sunny, but I may have used that already.)

Holiday gatherings

Okay I found the Reddit post and learned that I missed an important detail here: the couple is married and this woman's mother-in-law was treating her husband's ex as "family" over her. I feel like I need to go back and insert that detail, but I suppose it will have to wait. You can click below to read the post.

Baseball Hall of Fame

I did not plan on going 10 minutes with this, but now I guess I don't need to schedule a guest. I know a couple of my choices are "controversial," but that is how I always make my picks when I first see the names. I'm sure this will change later this month when I do a deep dive.

The Captain tried his best to be positive, but man the Fly Guys are not great right now.

And that's that, pals! Thank you for joining me once again. We may have guests for the next two weeks, so come on back to hear other people talk a bit. And sign up for the monthly newsletter here! Until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
