Show notes - Episode 454: Thankful for My Cage of Secrets

Morning, friends!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! I hope all of your food is hot at the same time, and that you only argue about which type of cranberry sauce is best. Let's do the stuff!

Pat shares some Thanksgiving advice before new music from Popclaw (7:13), more one-star reviews (10:08), Thanksgiving sides (14:11), Squid Game: The Challenge (35:09), Thanksgiving traditions (42:46), and your questions on presidential debates (53:30) and Soundtrap (59:02).

Quick tip

If going to someone's house for a holiday thing makes you uncomfortable? Don't go. You're (probably) and adult. You can make the choice to skip dinner. You don't even need a reason. Just let the host know you can't make it this year and that's all. Protect your mental health whenever possible.

Many thanks to our new friends for the tune - buy it tomorrow! All proceeds go toward The Trussell Trust, so I encourage you to buy the song and find more from the organization here.

One-star reviews, continued

Thanks to Jen and M-A-G for sharing their disdain for the real and hopefully not real! I will always read things like this (and real reviews of my show!) so keep em coming!

Thanksgiving side dishes

This was so much fun and I hope that all of you get to enjoy your favorite dish today - even if it is green bean casserole. I will be enjoying my onionless mashed potatoes, canned cranberry sauce, and mac & cheese. What a day!

Squid Game: The Challenge

This is such a dumb idea. That a billion dollar corporation is going to make more money by making a game show out of a serious thing just really bothers me. Just watch the actual Squid Game and skip this nonsense.

Do you do Thanksgiving on Thursday or Friday? Does it make a difference? Are you playing football today? Should we set up a TMP game for next year? So many questions!

Mail: debates and Soundtraps

Speaking of questions, thanks for the mail! Let me know if you would attend a presidential debate, and if you want to help me write lyrics to our Soundtrap tunes. Here's one:

And that, as we say, is that! Have a wonderful day of football, friends, and food. There won't be an episode on Saturday so we will be back in December - hopefully with an interview. Come on back for the fun and until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
