Show notes - Episode 239: Back for Another Display

Morning, friends!

I hope you are still doing well. I had some time off recently and got back to playing Winback 2: Project Poseidon - it's still bad. But now I'm going back to work every day (because forget social distancing, right?) which makes me glad I finished my drafts on starting your own podcast and stuff that makes me mad. Anyway, let's get to the show stuff!

Pat rambles on new gear (4:21), going back to work (6:22), and two-day WrestleMania (14:48). Plus unpopular opinions (25:21), potential plans for baseball (42:09), the latest tune from Skarlett Riot (46:31), and more!

Vote for shows!

Before I get to my notes, I want to remind you to vote for the next show Jill and I discuss on The Short-lived Show Show. Your choices this time are Penny Dreadful, Legend of the Seeker, or Garfunkel and Oates. So think hard and do the thing! (You can let me know here since that'll be easiest.)

Back to work

I took my recommended time to isolate and returned to work this week. Thankfully due to our staggered schedule, I only had to use four days of leave. But now we're all due to report on Monday so this social distancing is going great!

WrestleMania Weekend

Usually that title is more...expansive in terms of rasslin action. But this year it was one show over two days. Was it perfect? Of course not. But WWE should absolutely do two-day WrestleMania every year that they insist on having 16 matches on the card.

Unpopular opinions

I'm glad people weighed in on this and that some people dislike the same popular things as me. No, we don't want to go on that rollercoaster or watch those fireworks - leave us to our Degrassi!

MLB plans

Sequestering all of the people needed to make MLB games work every day (players, coaches, staff, ballpark employees, etc.) in one city seems like I decent plan. But it only takes one person to leave the grounds and catch the virus to ruin it for everyone, then we're further away from the goal. Using the Spring Training "divisions" could work, but I'd rather wait until we're given the all clear.

Skarlett Riot

Thanks to our pals for their latest tune, Human! I love the opening piano on this song and didn't feel good enough to riff it myself. Get the track - and the remix - where you get your tunes! And don't forget to follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Spotify, and YouTube!

And that's that. pals! I am off to pay some bills and to figure out the best way to weigh down my trash cans outside. Stay safe and don't be a moron. Until next time, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
