Show notes - Episode 301: Holiday TV Funhouse

Morning, friends!

Today's episode is one I look forward to producing every year. I did it a bit differently this time, but it was so much fun to put together. Enjoy!

Pat rambles on upgrading the studio (3:39), tells his favorite retail story (5:22), and shares our favorite holiday TV specials (18:20). Plus hear festive tunes from The Wild & Free (14:20), Point North (24:50), Hana Kahn (33:25), BRONNIE (42:37), Bleached (49:21), Left of Love (58:48), and MUCH BETTER (1:08:00)! Happy holidays!

Desk upgrade

I finally built my desk! The light above my head has not been fixed, so I'm sure I'll have issues next summer. But that's a problem for future Pat to handle (or more accurately, have someone else handle). The studio now looks like a creepy command center, but I have leg room! Thanks, Doug!

Light Bulb Lady!

It's gotten to the point where I don't even need to write full notes for Jerome about this. I have told this story so many times, it just tumbles right out of my brain. I loved this interaction and I wish her well.

Our TV favorites

Thank you so much to everyone who shared their favorite special - I almost had enough songs to give them all their own break. Does this mean I have to write a holiday jam if I want to do this next year?

Holiday tunes!

Many thanks also to our friends for their festive songs! Click the titles below to download the things! Woooo!

The Wild and Free - When the Year Ends
Hana Kahn - Ho Ho Ho
BRONNIE - Modern Day Xmas
Bleached - Jingle Bells

And that's that, friends! Thank you so much for joining me once again. I hope you and your kin have a lovely holiday - whichever one that is - and that you are staying safe and healthy. Next week we're back with an interview and a tune from a new friend of the show. So until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
