Show notes - Episode 318: New Retro Rules

Morning, friends!

Back to just me today so we rambled on sports, played a tune from WOLFCLUB, heard from The Captain, and more! Let's go!

Pat rambles on doctor visits (4:18), missing out due to COVID life (7:57), and EP progress (12:34). Plus a tune from WOLFCLUB (15:05), MLB notes (22:51), and a Flyers Update from The Captain (31:49)!

Doctor visits

I'm so glad I have decent insurance now, because these doctor visits used to clean me out. Now they just make me physically uncomfortable, so that's good progress I suppose. Doin' great over here!

Missing jokes

I'm really bummed out that I'll never get to make my pregnancy/kidney stone joke to people. But the benefit of not going anywhere is that I have drastically reduced opportunities to fall down in public. I'll take the wins where I can get them!

EP progress

The second side of this project is almost done! It's wacky how this idea has morphed over the years, but I will be very pleased when it is all done. These nine tracks are essentially what the band is, so I'm excited for everyone to hear them - and that's a thought I definitely did not have in 2007.

WOLFCLUB

Many thanks to our new friends, WOLFCLUB for the tune! The band appears courtesy of New Retro Wave, so go check them out as well for more sweet tunes! Woooo!

MLB stuff

After a rough week, the Phillies finally won again last night. The Red Sox lost the day I recorded (of course) and Yankees fans threw baseballs onto the field in the 8th inning last night. So things are great! Also I am not in favor of the double hook DH rule that will be implemented in The Atlantic League, in case that isn't clear in the show.

Flyers

Captain, you've done it again. Mediocre is the best way to describe the Flyers right now: they're not good enough to be in the playoff race, but they're also not bad enough to be completely out of it either. Pick a side!

And that's that, pals! We did it! Thanks for joining me today. Next week I have no idea what I'll be on about, but we should have a new tune to play so come back to hear another a cappella solo. Until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
