Show notes - Episode 397: Keep Your Nose Out of My Bag

Morning, friends!

Just me today for the first time in a while so it's not as packed an episode. Is that a good thing? You tell me!

Pat plays new music from Familiar Things (4:55), then rambles on prying supervisors (10:44), drugs in your candy (17:44), and sports stuff (25:10), before The Captain makes his season debut (33:04).

Closing stores

Patrons get to hear me ramble about the incredibly short-sighted plan some redditors and tweeters have for the problems that store owners and managers face, so click on up there to get in on that today.

Familiar Things

Many thanks to our pals for the new tune - check them out here and tell them I sent you!

"Why do you need off?"

I don't know if this is true for every job, and maybe your employer has a note in the handbook about taking a day, but come on here. All you should have to tell your boss is that you won't be in that day, Forget all of this nonsense - I'll talk to you when I return.

Drugs in your candy

Speaking of nonsense, this has always been silly to me. No one is putting their good drugs into your kids' candy. It doesn't make fiscal sense. That said, I'm happy to inspect any Twix bars or Reese's Peanut Butter Cups that look suspicious.

Sports go sports!

Phillies play again tonight (I'm typing this Friday morning so I don't know the result). The Union won their latest playoff game. The Flyers are hot - thank you for the update, Captain! The Eagles are still undefeated. And the Sixers...well it's not great so far. But sports! Also I didn't know this until late last night re: the Astros: they are undefeated in the postseason while Jose Altuve is 0-20. That's wild. Sports!

And that's that, my friends! Enjoy your weekend and let me know if you have any delicious pumpkin or apple treats (and where I can find them). Also click below to watch my bonus video from this morning in the park - yeah, I can't believe I did shared this either. Next week should be a canned show so come on back to find out what fun thing I put up while Jill is away. Until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
