Show notes - Episode 445: Oblivious Moon Rodeo

Morning, friends!

No question this week because the episode was recorded before I would've even sent it. I am feeling slightly better today, but not enough to add more to the show. We did get a suggestion for another movie question though, so I hope to get to that next week. For now, let's do the things!

Pat reflects on eight years at the network, then plays new music from A Story Told (6:28). Plus your letters on the moon landing (12:13) and hate mail (20:56), a misadventure down the shore (25:57), being oblivious (33:03), and filming in public (36:34).

A Story Told

Many thanks to our friends for the tune! Find more from them here and get Rodeo here! Tell em Pat sent you!

Moon landing

I love conspiracy theories. The idea that everyone in the scientific community could agree to keep up the lie of a faked moon landing (or a flat Earth!) is hilarious. Thanks for the letter!

Haters gonna hate

Do I get hate mail? Sometimes. Does it bother me? Not so much anymore. That's not why I stopped talking about serious topics on the show, though. That's for the patrons!

Vacation

It wasn't a total loss down the shore, but it definitely didn't go as planned. We're all on the mend over here so hopefully we'll be good soon! (he couldn't start sneezing at home...)

Oblivion

I don't get this. When you're out in the world, please be aware of others around you. Not only for your safety, but for everyone's sake. You paying attention makes life easier for all of us.

Public recordings

Please don't be one of these people. I get that the person tweeting about the influencer was probably trolling, but the point stands. You are not owed any public space to film yourself. Pay for a permit or expect to be interrupted. Also I know the picture doesn't fit this segment but I find it funny and it's close enough.

🌝

And that, as we say, is that! Thanks for the letters, keep em coming and I'll do my best to read out loud for you. We should have tunes from new friends in the next week or two, so come on back for those. Until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
