Show notes - Episode 481: I Don't Know What Happened There

Morning, friends!

If you are the person who said "this guy talks too much," then this episode might not be for you (that's a real comment I got once - hilarious). We had fun but it took us a bit to get there. New music, summer traditions, fan mail, and more. Let's go to it!

Pat does some housekeeping before playing new music from Honey Revenge (8:37), rambling on weekend trips (14:21), our summer traditions (31:52), pickles on chicken (50:50), and Angel Hernandez (1:03:34).

Thanks to our friends for the tune! Get Recipe For Disaster here and go vote for them for some Heavy Music Awards! Also their website is honey revenge dot com. Why couldn't I get that right? Who knows, but now you're all caught up!

Weekend getaways

I don't think we needed to get away this year, but we all had fun anyway. The kid got to run around the mall. I got my sundae. We experienced a "I just need a bed" hotel. Everybody won?

Summer traditions

Thank you to everyone who weighed in with their summer traditions - and my bad if I missed you because I had to record early. I hope we all get to enjoy the cookouts and wiffleball we can handle!

Fan mail: Pickles on chicken sandwiches

I don't remember who sent this, so thanks to Jimmy from Mayfair! I hope somewhere in my ramblings you found an answer. I guess I just don't like warm pickles, so I am decidedly not a fan of pickles on chicken sandwiches by default.

Angel Hernandez

I'll reiterate here: If someone who barely watches games knows your name as an umpire, you're bad at your job. And if you're unwilling to admit mistakes and ask for help on big calls? Then you get a legion of players, fans, and analysts celebrating your retirement. What a legend!

And that, as we say, is that! Thanks for coming along with me. Next week we should have a tune from new friends, a question for you (suggested by a loyal listener), and some more fan mail. So come on back and do the stuff with us. Until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
