Show notes - Episode 482: Proud to Remove Commercials

Morning, friends!

I love episodes when I get both suggestions and questions from listeners. It really makes putting things together easier. Plus we've got new music from new friends, and exciting news! Let's do this!

New music from cokeworks (5:32), booking the live show (11:02), worthy streaming services (20:44), paying for ad-free (37:54), and fan mail on sports villains (51:44) and baseball stats (1:00:26).

Thanks to our new friends for the tune, and my bad for taking so long to listen! Get Vulture here and tell em Pat sent you!

Live show booked!

It's official: we're doing a thing! Scan the QR code or click here for more information and to sign up to join us in September! Even if you can't make it, tell your pals to come along!

QUESTION: Which streaming services are most worth your money?

Thanks to Jen for the suggestion (she said YouTube Premium, by the way)! I hope your favorite show stays on your preferred service for a long time, so you don't have to pay for a bunch of these subscriptions like I do. Enjoy your binge-watching!

Fan mail: How I feel about paying for ad-free

I realize that paying for the ad-free version of the game or service can seem like "giving in." But if the cost is in my range, I'm going to remove those ads. I don't need to be interrupted every 18.5 seconds by a commercial that cannot be skipped. You win! Take my money!

Fan mail: Sports villains and baseball stats

Thanks to Jimmy from Mayfair for the questions! If you're gonna be a villain on the court, own it off the court as well. It's weak to go a quarter of the way. And also, on baseball things, I won't say launch angle is "ruining" anything. But many hitters would do well to focus less on that. Armchair Pat strikes again!

🏀

And that, as we say, is that! Thanks for joining me for the thing! Tell your friends and bring them all to the live episode in September. Next week? I have no idea what's coming, so let's all learn together! Until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Crap open a cold one!
