We had to record this one early, but I think we still had a good time. Thanks to everyone who wrote in so I could do less work. Let's go!

Pat does some housekeeping before playing new music from Wave Break (6:01), answering fan mail on minding his words (12:56), missing blogs and forums (26:41), and rambling on party etiquette (41:34).

Thanks to our friends for the tune! Find more from them here, check out their bandcamp here, and get Easier Said here. Go see them do the thing tomorrow!
Mail: Minding my words
I do not know who asked this, but thank you. It is fun and wonderful that my son can put words together and whatnot. But it also means I have to be more careful about what he hears, because his recall is amazing and he repeats so many things. No Beavis and Butt-head before bedtime, I suppose! What are some fun things your kiddos have said?
Mail: I also miss blogs and forums
This one tickled my fancy, so thanks for writing in about it. Katie Couric was on Marc Maron's podcast years ago and said something like "you know, maybe not everyone should get to have a voice about everything." She was referring to people being racist and whatnot, but I think this can also apply to people just being dumb as hell. We need people to learn how to express their opinions in smaller spaces before spouting bullshit to everyone at once. Bring back the online gated communities, I say!
Party idea: Opening gifts after everyone leaves
I wish I could find the original post, because it is a great idea. We should have kids open their presents after everyone leaves. Send a video reaction to the giver and keep it moving. And if you're 50 years old "demanding" someone open your gift? Get a hold of yourself!

And that, as we say, is that! Thanks for being here and thank you so much for the birthday wishes. Next week, we're trying something a bit different. After that, I think we'll have a guest. So come on back for what's what. Until then, don't do anything I wouldn't do!
Crap open a cold one!
