Wedding woes
If you are planning a destination wedding, you have to be prepared for people in your life to not be there. Not everyone can afford to take the time off, much less the travel and other costs involved. But if you pitch a price of $2000 and book at more than double that without letting people know? You're not a good person. I hope this friend does not go through with her Maid of Honor duties.
Stealing from your kids?
Look, it's fine if you want to give your kid an allowance. In fact, it is probably helpful so you can start teaching them about saving money and all that. But if you're going to say "here's $50 a week, but wait I'm taking $30 for household stuff" you're a dick. If you can't afford to give allowance, don't do it. If you can, only give what you can afford. But this in between shit to "teach responsibility" is needlessly cruel. Don't do that.
